COLLEEN PACE - American Association of Riding Schools
Colleen Pace is founder and president of the American Association of Riding Schools, a business support program for stable owners catering to non-horse-owning and new-horse-owning novices. She holds a bachelors of business administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan-Flint; and served the university in an administrative capacity for 19 years. She owns (an extremely small) Riverbank Farm in Davison, Michigan; where she has offered and/or supervised novice level instruction for 35 years. Over 7,000 girl scouts have earned their Horse Lovers Badge at her facility. Twenty percent of her riders have gone on to lease or own horses. Pace was a speaker at the WHIA conference last year; wherein she discussed 'Marketing the Horse Industry from the Bottom Up.' This year, she will describe the value of her first year membership in WHIA.
LYNN BABER
As the breeder or trainer of world and national champion horses as well as a successful business consultant, author Lynn Baber helps her clients and readers understand and apply foundational concepts of leadership and relationship in the real world. From team building to horsemanship to Christian victory, she shares both inspirational and practical messages with a style that runs the gamut from ‘keep up with me” high-energy on one end to “let’s sit on the porch and chat” on the other. Lynn writes and speaks about her passions: leadership, horses, and Christian victory.

Compensation - Manager for VP of Sales- AT&T developed and implemented a $2M+ sales incentive program and rolled out to 10,000 non-management employees- included development of marketing pieces, creation of copy, vendor negotiations, and roll out and promotion to the sales team in 25 locations in California and Nevada. Betwen retirement #1 in 1992 and retirement #2 in 2000- was Regional director for start up Teelcom company and Sales Manager at Sprint.

LUA SOUTHARD - Equine Resources International
Lua's publishing, marketing and advertising career started in 1969; in 1973 she helped launch the national publication Practical Horseman. For 11 years Lua was President and CEO of Southard & Associates, one of the nation's largest equine-oriented advertising agencies. In 1991 she was enticed to return to the publishing industry by Cowles Magazines. During her six-year tenure at Cowles, Lua was, among other things, the publisher of Practical Horseman. She also served as Director of Equine Marketing for all of Cowles equestrian titles and forged a joint marketing agreement between Cowles and the American Association of Equine Practitioners for a 400-page book, titled Hands-on Horse Care, published by Horse & Rider magazine. Lua is a Past President of American Horse Publications, a national, non-profit association dedicated to promoting better understanding and communication within the equine publishing industry, and she served two terms on the National Western Heritage Month Board. Currently her company, Equine Resources International, LLC, is the management company for the American Equestrian Trade Association (AETA), a not-for-profit organization.  Assisted by a partnership with Hopper Expositions, Inc., AETA serves to unite the equine industry and support connections between equestrian manufacturers and retail buyers with a series of successful trade shows at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. "Lua brings to our event substantial credentials in all areas of marketing and advertising and we know that the attendees will learn a lot from her at the event. We are very pleased that she will be there sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience," states Catherine Masters, Executive Director of the WHIA. As publisher of the Horse Sense and Cents™ book series, Nanette’s passion for horses began as soon as she could talk. She’s been riding for 41 years and training young horses for about 25 of those years. She owns Halcyon Acres® (www.HalcyonAcres.com), a sport horse breeding facility focusing primarily on Irish Draught Sport Horses, where she also oversees the training program for young horses coming in to be started under saddle and/or those challenged with a difficult start. After 20 years running Fulcrum Communications (a marketing firm leveraging creative and cost-effective solutions for small business and not-for-profits), she is now putting full focus on the horses through BookConductors (www.BookConductors.com) and the farm breeding, sales and training activities.
