Since that time Linda was blessed with a horse of her own on her 16th birthday and has shown Quarter Horses and Appaloosas in Halter, Showmanship, Western and English Pleasure, Western Riding, Poles, Barrels and Reining throughout North Carolina and New England.  She has won year end awards as a member of the Western Massachusetts Appaloosa Association (WMAA) and was the Secretary and Newsletter Editor of the Association in the mid 70’s.  Linda owned Walnut Bend Farm in Westfield, Massachusetts where she trained and stood Dial After Hours, STAA Weanling Futurity winner and WMAA Reserve Champion Stallion in Halter and English Pleasure with the help of her friend Karen Thorne.  Linda later turned her interests to Appaloosa racing in the 80’s with the help of another friend, Dorothy Lowe, and turned Dial into a lean, mean running machine where he broke the track record for the distance at the Northampton Fairgrounds in 1984.  As President of the New England Appaloosa Racing Association (NEARA) Linda secured Appaloosa Exhibition races at Suffolk Downs, Rockingham Park, Northampton Fairgrounds and Great Barrington Fairgrounds.  She also served as Secretary and Newsletter Editor for NEARA.  Linda’s horses had remained sound under her training program without the use of injections and medications.  Linda has written articles on Appaloosa racing for Horsemen’s Yankee Pedlar, Yankee Horsetrader and The Appaloosa News.  She has worked as a commercial artist and later owned and operated Linda’s Beauty Boutique in Massachusetts before moving to Florida were she taught attorneys and paralegals how to do title searches and real estate closing using computer programs for Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, Inc.  She later became the Paralegal Certification and Placement Manager where she wrote the course, book and tests for the classes that she taught at various colleges throughout Florida.   Her state licenses include Cosmetologist and Realtor.  As Vice-President and co-founder of Your Health 321, LLC Linda devotes her time to the natural heath and healing process of horses, dogs and people and has been a volunteer riding instructor for Harmony Farms, Horses for the Handicapped for 12 years. Pat Cleveland - The Balanced Horse Project
Patricia promotes safer horses, efficient use of their body design, the reduction of physical or emotional stress and preventative strategies that are drug free. Tthought provoking, Patricia Cleveland advances a proven system that supports the redefinition or regeneration of the body, without artificial agencies or devices. She asks the body to heal itself. And it does.  Scientific method collected data that justified her theory. Her theory, based on an “Electric Universe” supported proof based on horses that traditional care, conventional medicine and advanced training systems could not improve.  Results are reproducible, blind tested and cost effective. The Balanced Horse Project hosted by Red Leaf Farm, Dothan Alabama, USA are been applied on racetracks, in the backyard and at the breeding sheds. The quest started in her  home town Peterborough Ontario, Canada where as an accomplished rider and trainer, she encountered unique educational opportunities from  innovators working in human science, veterinary science, electrical engineering, structural development, and people known as healers.  Reading, researching and assimilating information developed and advance her approach of observing bio-mechanic and bio-energetic functions of the horse.  Accreditations from Carleton University, Cornell university, combine with Advanced Light therapy, Advanced Essential oils advanced exposure to Quadrupedic manipulation, Equine Massage, Magnetic fields, working applications Energy base animal husbandry, and other frequency based applications combine with her professional background as a trainer and instructor to develop the Balanced Horse Effect.  Patricia has written articles for The Holistic Horse Magazine titled:  Mis-matched Feet, Crooked Mare, Crooked Stallion, Crooked foal,; Fractured Foal  and a photo essay showing the successful progression of Founder treated holistically. Her focus is on finishing a book based of the finding from the Balanced Horse Project. When you understand the communication efforts of animals and can improve their state of well being without all the stuff humans are brainwashed into believing, one can smile inside without concern for the challenges that have been over come and the doors I’ve opened for others to step through.“Patricia Cleveland
Molly Wells -  Equinessence
I'm the owner of Equinessence. I'm a Certified ATS Equine/Canine Acuscope Therapist, as well as a Certified Equine Body Worker. I started my business in 2002 where I began taking Equine Body Work courses such as equine sports massage, advanced sports massage, myofascial release, nutrition, and biomechanics. In 2003 I completed my Acuscope/Myoscope Certification, and in 2006 became an Approved and Certified  Instructor/Representative for Animal Therapy Systems after further training. I currently have experience working with performance horses in several different disciplines such as: dressage, hunter jumpers, barrel racing, thoroughbred racing, cutting, reining, rope horses, sport horses, eventers, cart horses, endurance, and western/english pleasure.Prior to this I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I completed one year of animal science courses after being accepted into their pre-veterinary program, and after changing my major, I conducted animal behavior studies and attended several horsemanship seminars throughout those years. Since graduating, I have completed over 1000 hours of training in the Equine Body Work and Acuscope Therapy fields, and continue my education every year. I've been an athlete all of my life. I was a swimmer through college starting with Diablo Valley Junior College where I achieved the status of being an All-American swimmer and received my Associate of Arts degree. I then transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno where I continued my swimming career with their division 1 team where we were nationally ranked. I am currently a barrel racing competitor at the professional level being a member of the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA). I've experienced being an elite athlete, and I understand what it takes to keep your body going through extensive training when pain and injury occur. Through my experiences I understand what performance horses need to compete at optimal levels, and how they need to be cared for as athletes.I currently focus on teaching my ATS Acuscope Training and Certification courses throughout the country and internationally, as well as doing my daily work with Equinessence. I feel that it's very important to educate people on physical therapy in the equine world and how it can benefit their horses when applied by a qualified therapist. It is possible to maintain equine athletes through training to optimize performance, accelerate the healing process by 50-75%, and provide pain management for chronic conditions by properly utilizing the animal calibrated Electro-Acuscope/Myoscope Therapy System. This therapy system along with body work is not a substitute for proper veterinary care however, it can greatly enhance veterinary work to ensure a healthy outcome for the animal. For more information please visit her website at www.equinessence.com. Molly Wells can be found under the health section.
