Eleanor Blazer - Owner- HorseCoursesOnline.com
More than 20 years ago Eleanor's husband, Don Blazer, developed a horse training correspondence course for the University of California; that course, became the first of 26 courses now offered by Eleanor's exciting company aptly named HorseCoursesOnline.com. HorseCoursesOnline.com provides an accredited bachelor's of science degree through Breyer State University. In addition to the degree program, HorseCoursesOnline.com offers two certification programs: Professional Horse Trainer Certification and Professional Riding Instructor Certification. The World Wide Web andHorseCoursesOnline.com has made learning about horses and earning credentials available to many horse lovers all over the world. All courses are online, one course can be taken….or several; and the best part – there are no completion deadlines. Eleanor teaches the online courses Nutrition for Maximum Performance and Stable Management. A third course, written by Eleanor, "Responsible Horse Ownership" is offered on the web at www.learningabouthorses.com. After 27 years working in the commercial feed industry, Eleanor left the retail sector and began working full-time educating horse owners. Eleanor writes a monthly syndicated column about horse care entitled "The Way of Horses". Eleanor keeps busy doing equine nutrition consultations, conducting seminars, and speaking to youth groups about horse care and nutrition. She also maintains the web sites for HorseCoursesOnline.com. Eleanor owns three registered American Quarter horses. She shows her dun mare, Babes Little Twister, on the AQHA circuit, at local shows and at the American Buckskin Registry Association shows. Eleanor serves as a director on Guadalupe Valley Quarter Horse Breeders Association board and is a member of the Ohio Horseman's Council.
