Cheryl Gibson -Equibow

Gibson comes from many generations of horsemen.  Her passion for helping horses has led to research and development of a variety of methods of bodywork over the last 30+ years. Realizing many years ago that she was unable to 'rescue' unlimited numbers of horses and having the strong philosophy of empowering others through education, she started Cedar Lane Farm and the Canadian College of Equine Studies ™. By educating horseowners, she is better able to help all horses. Cheryl, and her teaching partner, Simone Usselman-Tod formed Equi-Bow Canada as a vehicle within which to teach an integrated equine body-balancing technique in Canada as well as internationally. The Equi-Bow equine technique initially developed from an interest in bowen for humans. However, due to the broadly based experiences of its founders, it quickly evolved into a different type of holistic technique uniquely suited to horses. With over 30 years experience in the equine & human complementary fields, they encompassed other disciplines &  philosophies such as CranioSacral, acupuncture, Feldenkrais, myofascial release, massage, stress point and soft tissue release modalities, anatomy, tack fitting, balanced hoof and behaviour modification among others. The thoroughness of training, attention to detail, quality of education and student support ensures the highest quality of equine practitioner training. As a division of Cedar Lane Farm's educational programs, Equi-Bow has quickly become known as a highly successful tool for both horseowners and professionals. Situated on a beautiful horse farm in Southern Ontario, Canada (45 minutes from Toronto Pearson International and 20 minutes from Hamilton International Airport) Cedar Lane Farm has offered a wide variety of courses over the last 25 years.  We invite you to join us for innovative, unique experiences in the field of equine and animal well being.  Our programs honour the horses who are our greatest teachers.
