After many years as a turf writer in New Mexico, with the help and support of friends and the racing community of New Mexico, SureBet was launched in 1997.

Horseracing is the third largest industry in New Mexico and it is deep in our state’s history having been the home to the world’s first million dollar Quarter Horse race the “All American Futurity” which runs every Labor Day in Ruidoso, NM. Our latest claim to fame is “Mine That Bird” winner of the 135th Kentucky Derby, on May 2nd at Churchill Downs, Ky.

In January of 2008 SureBet expanded racing news coverage across the Southwest and in the spring of 2010 SureBet will highlight racing news west of the Mississippi, making SureBet the only publication which features both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing in the US. Our comprehensive website (www.surebetracingnews.com) features industry related stories, race reviews and a FREE-Magazine of our monthly publication in a fast loading Flip- Book version.

Debuting Labor Day weekend SureBet will launch www.inthegate.net a website dedicated to video interviews and racing footage from across the Southwest, featuring the 51st running of the All American Futurity
