Margaret (Margie) Paur owns Hillside Farm LLC which provides traditional riding lessons and has four trainers/instructors. We are a United States Polo Association School and Club and we are very unique in that we provide all of the equipment, horses, etc, for lesson costs of only $35 an hour! We have about 20 polo students ranging in age from 6 years old up to over 60. We get many donated retired polo horses that are perfect for our polo program. I have been teaching polo for approx. 3 years and playing polo approx. 6 years and am a member of the Milwaukee Polo Club as well.  I am active with the Polo Training Foundation in helping to grow polo and change it's reputation as a sport for only the very wealthy.

Beside the Polo, I started up a United States Pony Club Center at Hillside this year. Many Olympic riders have come out of the Pony CLub program (although that is not the main purpose of Pony CLub). We are a Center which means that the riders do not need to own their own horses to participate in Pony Club, we again have the horses. We provide group Pony Club session each weekend for $15 per session per rider. Again, extremely affordable, but the kids need to do things beyond just riding. Beside the two above programs, we have traditional riding lessons in Dressage, hunter, jumper, basic english, and polo. I have studied the works of many natural horse-people and have had an opportunity to spend a week training with Monty Roberts.

Our farm uses gentle horse handling techniques and I take in many horses with behavior and health issues and rehab them. I have taking in horses that are chronic "head shakers" and turned them into steady headed polite horses. I have taken in horses with chronic hoof and limb problems and have rehab them to complete soundness. We use natural barefoot hoof care and we have turned horses that need pads, and shoes to barefoot, 100% sound performance horses. We have a unique environment to rehab hoof/feet problems. It takes a good deal of time, but we have has terrific success. Longer term we plan on building a complete equine rehab facility to focus on limb, muscle, and foot problems in horses. I have a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Marquette University in Wisconsin. I hold a certificate in Equine Management and have taught classes in Equine Management. I am an Investment Management/Banking professional and am slowly transitioning into more equine and volunteer work for non-for-profits. I sit on a number of non-for-profit boards, one of which is the Milwaukee County Zoological Society. You can learn more about me from my Linkedin site if you wish.
