MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Bev Pettit
Bev earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Minnesota, graduating cum laude in Art Education.  After college Bev worked in fine art, technical and art education positions with a stint in teaching photography at a community college in California. Having grown up in a farming family in Minnesota she began riding horses at a very early age. A call to travel the world came in 1991 when she moved to Hong Kong and then on to London in 1996. In Asia Bev worked full time for a large American investment bank heading up their research publications department for all of Asia and then for all of Europe while in London. In her spare time, Bev freelanced for the tourism industry traveling to such exotic countries as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China and India while photographing and writing about the people and their culture. Her work has won numerous awards and has been published extensively in national and international books and magazines. Pettit is now quite happy to call Northern Arizona home where she lives on a small ranch, surrounded by National Forest, with her family and five horses. She specializes in photographing horses of all breeds and disciplines and also creates commercial sale ads for farms and ranches. Find Bev under Artists/Photographers in our member directory.
